(FAIRBANKS, Alaska) – The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities is closing the Jack Creek bridge at Mile 36 of the Nabesna Road for maintenance. The bridge will close to through traffic starting at 8 a.m. on Sept. 21 and will reopen by 10 a.m. on Sept. 29.
During the closure new girders and a new bridge deck will be installed, enabling heavier loads to cross the bridge in the future. The Nabesna Road is located off the Glenn Highway/Tok Cuttoff.
