A massive farm bill that would legalize hemp just cleared the senate 86-11. Now that hemp legalization language is included in the Farm Bill approved by the Senate, it will be part of discussions by the bicameral conference committee that will merge both the House and Senate bills into a single piece of legislation to be sent to President Trump’s desk for his historic signature, signing the bill into law.
Growing hemp has been illegal for decades in the US, only recently legalized in 2017 in North Carolina, where Hemp, Inc., a global leader in the industrial hemp industry with the largest hemp mill in the western hemisphere, recently harvested their first hemp crop.
What will the future of the hemp industry look like? And who will be the key players?
Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. is an expert on all things hemp, and an advocate for the environment. Hemp, Inc. creates oil absorbents made of the inner core particles(hurd) of kenaf and hemp plants to clean up big oil’s mess.
