The Lions’ motto is “We Serve,” and the Delta Lions Club has lived up to it. For 59 years, the club has sponsored events in the community including Vision Screenings at Delta Health Fair, the Delta Elementary School, Deltana Fair, and the Holiday Bazaar.
The club also supported Leader Dog for the Blind, Eyeglasses Recycling, Campaign SightFirst II, and Eye care for needy community members.
The Lions have sponsored many youth activities including Sponsorship of Boy Scout Troop 56, Lions Quest Reading Program in Schools, Community Easter Egg Hunt, Scholarships for local HS graduates, Student of the Quarter, Youth Baseball, Hockey and Football, Lions McCarthy Youth Camp, and the Peace Poster contest.
The community events include Relay for Life Cancer Walk, Project Christmas, Festival of Lights, Community Cleanup, Holiday Bazaar, Deltana Fair, Delta Health Fair, RDVFD residence numbers, and Emergency / Disaster Relief.
