Patricia Ann Paden passed away Sept. 14, 2016, at age 74.Patricia was born Dec. 18, 1941, in Sparta, Wisconsin, to Ruby and Winnie Linnehan. She was a caring, loving person who could make a perfect stranger a lifelong friend. She was always willing to give a smile or a hug to someone she thought needed it.
She has been a true Alaskan since 1974. She and her husband, Paul, were best friends and true adventurers. They traveled and worked all across Alaska and the United States together. Pat was a world traveler, spending time in New Zealand, Australia and Europe.In addition to Fairbanks, Pat lived in Valdez, Delta Junction and Central. She worked as an attendant for First Student special education buses, and was the owner of Sunburst Tanning Center and Fairbanks First Tanning Center. She was also a cook for multiple gold mines and construction centers.
She loved the country way of life and loved spending time at “The Farm” with the family and spending time in the garden.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. We love you, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Winnie Linnehan; and by her brothers, Bruce Linnehan and Daniel Linnehan.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Paden; siblings, Michael Linnehan and Jeri Burton; her children, James Dahl, Scott (Gloria) Paden, Steve (Kristine) Dahl and Heidi (Brian Phillips) Paden; and grandchildren Thomas (Nicole) Dahl, Brodie Dahl, Ryan (Jordan) Dahl, Vera Dahl, Aaron Dahl, Shelby Paden, Wyatt Paden, Erica Dahl, English Paden, April Paden and Paul Stevens.
Please join us for a celebration of life for Pat from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Alpine Lodge. There will be a visitation before the celebration of life from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Fairbanks Funeral Home for those who wish to say goodbye.
