1947 – 2016
Sandra Kaye Taylor, 69, passed away March 23, 2016, at the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital from long term medical issues.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will never be forgotten, and always dearly missed. Sandra was born March 11, 1947, to William and Hazel Patton in Tuckerman, Arkansas, and brought up in the Baptist faith.
On Nov. 24, 1972, she married Rex Taylor in Reno, Nevada. She was a homemaker, raising her children, and had also worked as a waitress in California, Washington and Alaska. She lived in Alaska 20 years, most of that time in Wasilla, and later in Delta Junction, where she resided at the time of her passing.
She is predeceased by her parents, William and Hazel Patton, brother Michael Patton, son Marty Northcutt and granddaughter Brianna Taylor.
Surviving are her son, William Taylor, and daughter-in-law Melissa Taylor; her son, Ryan Taylor, and significant other Amy Case, all of Fairbanks; her daughter, Angie Pugh, and husband Gerald Pugh, of Delta; grandsons Dusty Northcutt, of Saffell, Arkansas; Kasey Taylor, of Anchorage; Kyuss Taylor, of Fairbanks; Caleb Pugh and Gavin Pugh, both of Delta Junction; granddaughters Calli Taylor and Caylin Case, both of Fairbanks; great-grandson Clay Northcutt, of Saffell, Arkansas; and her spouse, Rex Taylor, of Delta Junction.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, at the Delta Community Center, officiated by Pastor Glen Cotton. Flowers may be sent to the Community Center. Donations may be sent to the American Lung Association.
