National Infant Immunization Week is an annual observance to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases and to celebrate the achievements of immunizations programs in promoting healthy communities throughout the United States. Immunizations are a powerful way to prevent many diseases and to promote good health. The Delta Junction Public Health Center will be waiving all vaccine administration fees for all ages during National Infant Immunization Week. Gather up your immunization records and call (907) 895-4292 to schedule an appointment to get your loved ones or yourself protected against vaccine preventable diseases such as measles and whooping cough. All recommended childhood vaccines and several adult vaccines are available.
The health center is located at 2857 Alaska Hwy Room 210 in the Jarvis Office Complex, next to the State Troopers and the DMV. Please join us in celebrating the arrival of the new Public Health Nurses and National Infant Immunization Week. We have much to celebrate!
