On November 15th Quality Care Assisted Living and the Community of Delta Junction lost one of our long time citizens, Kathy Scott. Kathy was one of the first residence to come live at the newly built facility a year ago, she wanted to come home and live her last days in the community that was her home. First I would like to thank Roy and Janelle Gilbertson for donating the land and Dick Karr for having the foresight to see the need to have a long term care facility built in our town and Mary Kaspari’s who without her love and dedicated to this foundation project would have never made it this far.
I would like to personally thank Danielle and the compassionate staff at the Care center who went beyond the duties of an assisted living to help Kathy on her final journey from this world and as well as allow us to have her celebration of life amongst the residence and friends that were her family.
Our Community is so blessed to have two angels, Ernie and Nancy Wyrick, who for the past few years every day stopped in faithfully checked on Kathy as well as do welfare checks on other residence in Delta. We are blessed in so many ways to live in this community and for this I am ever grateful for and give thanks to all those who helped. In addition thank you to the staff at Interior Alaska Medical Clinic and Sandy Weeks for her final care. God Bless each and every one of you who helped with our friend and neighbor Kathy Scott.
