Our guest speaker for this month will be Bryce Wrigley
Bryce will be discussing the socioeconomic benefits that come from developing a stronger local food system and the business opportunities we can expect.
Bryce Wrigley has farmed in Delta since 1983. There are now 4 generations of Wrigleys that work on the farm. In 2011, he started the Alaska Flour Company, milling hulless barley into flour and cereal. Bryce is committed to increasing Alaska’s food security by increasing food production and processing in Alaska.
Since 2007, Bryce has served as President of the Alaska Farm Bureau, a farm advocacy organization, where he helps develop and shape agriculture policies on a national and state level. He also serves on the advisory committee for UAF’s School of Natural Resources and Ag Sciences.
Bryce is the District Manager for the Salcha-Delta Soil and Water Conservation District in Delta.
