FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska – Birch Hill Ski and Snowboard Area will be closed tomorrow through Monday to allow snow-making and grooming crews to dedicate more time to improving slope conditions.
Normal operations will resume Feb. 14 and Customer Appreciation Day is set for President’s Day, Feb. 17 with free food, drinks, door prizes and entertainment.

The ski hill, tubing area and nearby skeet range are open to the public. Visitors without DoD identification will need to stop by the main gate visitors center to request an installation pass. All visitors 16 and older need to show ID at the gate.
