Dear Delta/Greely Friends,
Some of you have received a farewell note in the mail. When I began this note sending task, I thought I would send it to close friends and all of my supporters of volunteer efforts throughout the years. However, there were just too many wonderful people in the community and schools to reach out and thank and time is running out. So…hope you don’t feel offended if you didn’t receive one in the mail. Thank you for your understanding…
“Where we love is home, home that our feet may leave but not our hearts.” -Oliver Wendell Holmes
Thank you community friends for the way you touched our hearts or supported us in some way during our 7 years in the Delta/Greely community. It is because of you we tuck many fond and warm memories in our hearts to take with us down our next road in our life’s journey…
During this time of rural, small community living we enjoyed much involvement with you in community service and the schools. We truly enjoyed working with students, teachers, administrators, parents and friends to serve toward common goals in some very fun ways! Wow! What wonderful memories! Thank you for your support and encouragement along the way. Please know each one of you who simply smiled, showed up to help, participate or encourage with kind words will always be a thankful memory in our hearts.
As we leave, we say farewell with BIG hugs (of course J!) to our dear Delta Friends but happily move on and back into the loving, welcoming arms of family whom we’ve missed so much over the years here. Our hearts are truly calling us home and we go with confidence knowing God goes before us and has made this road home possible.
Always smile, be happy and healthy and eat some cookies along the way in life! Oh and remember, “If all else fails, the answer is always tea!”
May God bless you and keep you, always in His care. Love and hugs, Kathy and Chuck and KC, too! “…Love One Another…” 1 John 3:11
